This is a continuation from Part 1 . . .
We are all born with a singular packet of energy. A newborn life is pure awareness without the developed function of mind. As we grow, so does the intellect and its application of logic as mind. The development of the mind is the division and categorization of that original packet of energy you started with at birth. Our way of life in this modern world is logic-based. The further the original wholeness of our energy gets divided by modern living, the further the brightness of our spirit, and our intuitive nature gets weakened.
Meditation in contrast, is by nature, the movement of one’s original energy back into a unified whole. Mental divisions and applications of logic are suspended, and piece by piece integral cohesiveness of mind is restored. Meditation can be done in the traditional way, seated with eyes closed, or can be done with movement in practices like Yoga, Qigong, Taichi, etc. Even regular activities like dancing, running, walking, cooking and cleaning can be forms of meditation, if the right attitude and proper approach is taken during that activity. Meditation, in all of its forms, when properly done will brighten the spirit, increase life sensitivity and bring one right back to natures gate.
Meditation can be used to open oneself to the awareness of the properties of crystals and gemstones. In addition, however, crystals and gemstones can be used to enhance and amplify one’s meditation. The two mutually benefit and serve each other. Have a look into our other writings for further details on this vast subject.
In order to maintain our life sensitivity and conscious awareness at a high level, it is necessary for our life energies to be kept as integrated and whole as possible. To sit in stillness, to be silent, and to rest the dividing nature of the mind as thought, is to charge the battery and strengthen the integral unity of that packet of energy which makes up an individual as a life. Knowing how to keep one’s life energies whole through practices like Meditation, Yoga and Taichi is important for those practicing alchemy. On the other hand, it is also important to understand how one’s energies are divided and scattered through daily living, so a balance can be found.
It can be said that for the average person, any activity which unifies the energies of the body such as meditation will be found to be boring and tasteless. That which charges the battery, is the very essence of conscious boredom. In contrast, many of the things we enjoy doing that provide color and stimulation to our daily lives such as parties, conversations, hanging out with friends, watching tv, playing games, sports, festivals, listening to music, reading books, surfing the net etc., usually divides, drains and scatters the integral unity of our packet of life energy.
It is not that we should not do any of these things, but look at it this way, your life energy should be considered as energetic money in your bank so to speak, meditative activities that consolidate and charge one’s energy put “energetic money in the bank”. Activities which are stimulating, fun and exciting tend to drain the energetic money in the bank. Being aware of this, it becomes important to find a balance in one’s life so you are not “spending more energetic money than you earn”. Just as when balancing your finances, if you spend and spend without making enough money to balance that spending, you will end up in trouble. The energies of the body, mind and spirit work in a similar manner, so it would be best to be mindful of this.
For many people, the concept of conscious living may be a bit hard to understand at first. When awareness is pure, ones very life energies are all present and focused on the moment. If the mind is running while engaging in your daily tasks, your conscious presence will be divided between the reality of the moment and the movement of the mind.
For example, if I am washing the dishes but my mind is thinking about the trouble I had yesterday, and through lack of attention, I drop and break the dish, then it cannot be said that I was consciously washing the dishes with full awareness. My mind was in the past, and my attention was running on automatic trying to complete the task by using past experiences of dish washing to accomplish the job without really paying attention to it.
Conscious living means investing one’s full life energies and attention as much as possible into whatever it is one may be doing moment by moment. It can be said that attention is the most valuable treasure we have to give. The more refined and strengthened one’s attention is, the more we can say we are living consciously. In contrast, the more we put our life on automatic and live in the mental chatter of the mind, the less are we able to live a conscious life. True living is life as is, at face value, without the accumulations and movement of the mind coloring it in any way. The more consciously we can live, the more life sensitive we will become.
Those with a true interest in practicing Crystal Alchemy, naturally are on a path of self-empowerment and self-mastery. Self-empowerment means to expand the control and influence one has over one’s own destiny, and be able to consciously manifest what one wishes to create in their life. For the one who honestly wishes to empower themselves, without being controlled and manipulated by endless external variables, self-empowerment becomes a significant motivation and life direction for them.
To truly empower oneself and become the artist of one’s own life, means to accept full responsibility for one’s life and what happens in it. This may be difficult for a lot of people, but there really is no other way if one wholeheartedly wishes to achieve self-mastery and become the conscious creator of one’s own destiny. Only one who accepts full responsibility for what happens to them in their own life, will be empowered to be able to make the changes needed to alter their destiny. Being the victim of life and blaming others for what happens in it, undermines the natural power that one would yield as a conscious spark of divine energy.
Being a victim means, it wasn’t your fault, there is nothing you can do, and you are helpless. This means lack of power. Being self-empowered does not mean that things won’t happen to you that you don’t want or couldn’t control, but it means that the way you respond to those occurrences will put you back in the driver’s seat and allow you to learn from it, overcome it, and be able to steer your destiny in the direction you want time and time again. By taking full responsibility of your own life means to reclaim your personal power and be able to transform misfortune into good fortune. For the one who wants to live consciously, there is no other way…
Another factor which can potentially undermine the wholeness of our life energy are the many relationships we have with the different people in our lives. Just as we wish to cultivate ourselves to become generators of positive divine energy, and become balanced expressions of life, it is important to cultivate our relationships as well, to make sure they are mutually nurturing and supportive.
The greater the number of toxic, unproductive, bad or broken relationships one has, the more it will drain the wholeness and strength of one’s life energy and life sensitivity will decline. Just as we need to take responsibility over our own lives, we also need to take responsibility over the quality of our relationships. If you have bad or broken relationships, FIX THEM… and do it as soon as possible. Especially if your bad or broken relationships are with family members or with people you love or have once loved, it becomes even more important to work towards resolution and harmony.
To fix a bad relationship goes right back to taking responsibility over one’s life. Don’t blame, point the finger, or hold grudges if possible. Forget the details and open your heart unconditionally. By fixing tensions and misunderstandings between yourself and other people, you will be purifying and strengthening the wholeness of your life energy. Such actions always receive a positive response from nature. Learn to forgive and hopefully even forget. Remember the world is your mirror. That which we don’t like about others, is ultimately a reflection of some aspect of ourselves. First purify oneself, then purify one’s relationships, community and ultimately the world and beyond!
Hey everyone… My Name is Eric Justin… I started this blog as a way to help clarify many misunderstandings and misperceptions which have formed around the use of crystals. I aim to promote their positive life-empowering potential in an honest and straightforward way. In addition, I am here to help promote ancient practices of energy cultivation, which can be used by all people to help establish balance and stability in their unending life journey of self-discovery and self-mastery.
