We employ gentle correction techniques in a lively but low-stress environment where they can comfortably learn English language structures. Using natural methods of language acquisition, we will create a comfortable environment to quickly learn how to communicate in English without feeling so much like they are studying. This is done through “playing” with the language and exploring different topics of study such as animals, food, nature, etc. Games, tasks, and quick activities. This will give them a chance to practice new language items and to use functional English to achieve tasks, goals and communicate with the instructor on a variety of topics.

We will not sit your children down and overload them with loads of information. Nor do we force them through tedious drills or over-emphasize writing or classwork. The main focus is on effective communication and conversation with vocabulary and sentence building. We hope to hold the interest of the student and get them to learn without realizing they are learning.

Lesson Materials:            

OOS Natural English Services style lessons with a choice combination between conversation-based and structured practice. During structured practice, on-screen OOS-style activities will be displayed in addition to flashcards, videos, and other materials. If an actual textbook is desired, the student can choose any available English text to their liking.

Lesson Structure:          

Light, medium, or heavy (your choice)

Parents can choose how much structure they would like their children to receive.

If you choose LIGHT, then you will get a conversation-based lesson with some structured practice worked into it but mostly the lesson will focus on developing communication while playing games, simple conversation, and doing other types of activities.

If you choose MEDIUM, then you will get a lesson that is 50/50 between conversationally-based and structured practice with other games and activities

If you choose HEAVY, then you will get a lesson that is very structured with lots of activities and study and not many games, etc.

Level of Correction:       

You set the amount of correction the teacher will make with you in the lesson.

Choose from no correction, a little correction, moderate correction, heavy correction or to correct everything. 

**NOTE: if you select “no correction” then this lesson becomes a completely conversation and activity-based lesson where corrections are done subtly by example which encourages the student to self-correct and be alert to their own mistakes.**

Venue:

At this time, we are exclusively offering convenient online lessons which require a webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection. In the future, we may offer in-person, face-to-face, or in-house lessons.

Online lessons offer great convenience and flexibility and save both time and money for all parties involved. These lessons will be conducted via Skype, Zoom, or other such online video meeting system. You are free to choose which one works best for you.
